Story

Our wonderful eldest son, David Joseph Nichol, died on October 23rd 2020 at the age of just 24.  We won't officially know the cause of his death for some time, but we believe that his epilepsy may have been a factor.  Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) is thankfully uncommon, however 600 people die in the UK each year from it.  600 families like ours who have to cope with unbearable loss, a loss than can be prevented.  SUDEP is a research priority for Epilepsy Society, aiming to predict and reduce the risks of avoidable death.

We know that times are tough for everyone right now, but we would truly be grateful for any donation in tribute to David.  He was special to so many people, we honestly believe he had no idea how much he meant.  Such was his nature he would want to raise money for charities that could help people like himself.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

Paula and Paul
