Thank you for visiting our page, it’s hard that we can’t get together to share our memories and stories of Paul. We may not all know each other, but we share a love of Paul and an appreciation of his many fine qualities.

Paul’s passions included England Rugby and Everton, and he never retired from teaching, finding it difficult to replace the fulfilment he got from working with young people. Teaching was his joy and passion, each summer holiday I would ask how his break was going, every time he replied, ‘I’m ready to go back,’ he missed it.

Paul inspired pupils in the classroom, and on the pitch. In his memory we ask that, if you can, you give a donation to the BookTrust.  The BookTrust transforms lives by getting children and families to read: ‘children who read for pleasure are likely to do better at school, as well as be more socially, culturally and emotionally prepared for life. In fact, reading enjoyment is more important for a child's educational success than their family's financial or social status.’ Book Trust 2021
