Story
This Sunday (30th May) I'll be running a marathon. I’ll be running along the Wirral Way from Hooton, clockwise to Egremont. A link to the route map is https://www.plotaroute.com/mobile/routeplayer/1539052?units=miles
I’m running the marathon in memory of John Oldham, a good mate and father to some very close friends of mine. He passed away in December from COVID-19.
The money raised will be going towards the build of a maternity clinic in Uganda that will be named in honour of John. He worked for the charity overseeing the project and was keen to see it finished. So far, enough funds have been raised for the building to be completed and now we are hoping to kit it out with all the specialist equipment necessary.
I’ll be running the marathon with John's son in law Matt and John’s niece Andrea and friend Ellie. Collectively we’ve raised over £2500 so far and are hoping to make the maternity clinic a lasting blessing for the area so any contribution is appreciated.
Thank you again to all who have donated already. It is hugely appreciated by myself, and the rest of the Oldham family.
Many thanks
Paul.
