Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I did it!!!! Yes I am pleased to say I completed the run on Sunday in a time of 1 hour 59 mins 3 secs. Not only did I achieve my goal of breaking the 2 hour mark but thanks to you all I have raised a tremdous amount for Prosate Cancer. THANKYOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
On 16th September I will be runner number 45632 in the Great North Run. Celebrating my 50th birthday this year, I decided it was time to set myself a challange, and having decided that the London Marathon was a race too far, I decided that a shorter race with Mo Farah in Newcastle was a better option. I am running for Prostate Cancer in memory of Dad and your support would be very much appreciated to make the training worthwhile.
I have just heard that Mo is now running the shorter race on the Saturday. My training times must have got back to him! Anyway that's one place higher I will finish.
Thanks to the overwhelming support of everyone I have passed my original target of £2000.00 and have now increased this to £3000.00. Many thanks to all who have supported me.
