Story
As many of you may know I am a keen cyclist. More of an old man in lycra these days. I have ridden the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton bike ride previously and decided to do it again this year as it is a very worthy cause.
Another reason is one of my oldest friends David Goldring. David and I became friends over 30 years ago. We shared a love of sport especially football and cricket. We were both Spurs fans and we played 5 a side together. We worked together professionally in the legal sector. Our families were close.
David was a major driving force behind Old Woodhouseians Football Club – Old Woods.

David died suddenly of a heart attack three years ago aged only 61. He was the same age as me. I am dedicating my ride and raising money for the British Heart Foundation in David’s memory.
David was a good bloke and a great mate and I miss him.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
Please give generously to the BHF and help prevent others like David from dying far too young.
Thanks.
