Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am undertaking this walk in June 2015, from the source of the Thames near Kemble down to the Thames Barrier in East London. The distance is 184 miles in total. I have long been inspired by our great river so now I am undertaking this journey and want to raise money and awareness of Thames21.
Thames21 is a leading waterway charity. They work with communities and volunteers across Greater London to improve rivers, canals, ponds and lakes for people and wildlife. Less than 50 years ago the Thames was officially declared biologically dead, too polluted to sustain any life. Look at it now! Yet there is much left to do to restore and protect it for all of us.
I hope that by sponsoring me you will be kind enough to donate a modest sum to my worthy charity and help make this challenge worthwhile.
