Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Diana was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2015 and the life clock started ticking. Life expectancy is 3 to 5 years and there is no cure. Drugs are prescribed to try to slow down the fibrosis but the side effects can be unpleasant for many, Diana included. Diana lost her battle and passed away on Saturday the 18th of April, Seven days after our 40th Wedding Anniversary.

The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust who this Just Giving page is dedicated supplied Diana with a portable oxygen concentrator to enable us to go on holiday to Cyprus in 2019 and later provided her with a mobility scooter. Diana never got to use the scooter because of covid 19. All the equipment supplied to Diana has been returned for the benefit of other sufferers.

As a final note I would like to thank the Trust for all the support they gave Diana and hope this will help raise awareness of this terrible disease.
