The Passage: A Wheely Good Cause

A Wheely Good Cause · 6 October 2020
For the past 40 years, The Passage has been working tirelessly to transform the lives of the homeless.
During lockdown from March - July they delivered daily breakfast, lunch and dinner to over 300 homeless people in temporary accomodation across London. This equated to over 62,000 meals! As well as keeping them fed, the team have been working hard to try and place them in more permanent accommodation to ensure they do not return to the streets.
As one of the many volunteer drivers for The Passage, I can tell you with confidence that they are in urgent need of a new van. Not only is it on its last legs but it also should be upgraded to an electric model to avoid costly diesel taxes in 2021. With daily journeys in heavy traffic, it will also help The Passage improve its own green credentials. Raising money specifically for this cause will ensure that the Passage's own funds can be put to best use supporting those in need.
Together with my colleagues at C.Hoare & Co we are looking to raise over £20k through a series of events over the next few months. Any support you can give will be much appreciated! Thank you, Alice
