Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page for Support Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon.
In Lebanon, covid19 and the severe economic crisis resulting in hyperinflation, along with long-established restrictions on work of Palestinian refugees have left a large part of Palestinian refugee families in Lebanon unable to make ends meet nor live in dignity. The Lebanese Pound (Lira) has tumbled from 1500 to 10000 for one USD and many families are unable to procure basic needs including babies' milk and diapers.
This page asks for donations to support the refugees in Lebanon during this harsh period suffering from food insecurity. With your donations, we will supply families with basic food staples including flour, sugar, beans, powder milk, and others. Given the unsteady electricity supply in Lebanon, fresh foods and meat have not been included since they cannot be stored.
A study conducted in the camps estimated that US 84 dollars can buy a food parcel for a single family of 5 persons for a month; meaning that USD 1000 can feed a family of five for a WHOLE year.
A group of Paces friends and supporters are spearheading this campaign to raise funds and support families who are suffering from extreme poverty and hunger.
Please donate NOW and support this campaign by sharing with your family and friends. Every amount helps, and if you wish to make an even larger impact, single donations of USD 1000 and above will be matched by one of our donors.
Together, we can all make a big difference.
