'If a person plants a tree, the fruits of that tree that is eaten is definitely charity for that person. Fruits stolen from that tree is again charity for him. Fruit eaten by wild animals is also charity. What birds eat is also charity. Whatever fruit is eaten is charity for the one who planted the tree' [Muslim]
For the last 40 years, over a million olive trees and hundreds of thousands of fruit trees have been destroyed in Palestinian lands. The Israel Defense Forces have been uprooting olive trees to facilitate the building of settlements, expand roads and build infrastructure. The uprooting of centuries-old olive trees has caused tremendous losses to farmers and their families. At the same time, restrictions to harvesting have come through curfews, security closures and attacks by settlers. :(
The Olive tree is said to be the 'Life blood' of Palestine. So let us help Palestine by boosting its economy, Agriculture and enriching its culture.
