We provide emergency aid and assistance to those affected by conflict & disaster

Story

33 million people have been affected by floods in Pakistan, hundreds have been killed, and the Government declared a national emergency.

Stagnant waters months after the initial floods have bought waterborne diseases with it; Dengue Fever, Malaria, Typhoid and Cholera just to name a few. The monsoon rains hit Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh provinces hard. There's been little respite for communities hoping to return home to see what can be salvaged.

The Action for Humanity Team have been mobilising emergency Aid Immediately to affected areas since last September.

£50.00- Provides a Dignity kit -During the most desperate situations such as the aftermath of a natural disaster or during a conflict, AFH distributes basic supplies to maintain the health and dignity of women and girls. Many of these supplies are included inside containers called dignity kits. These kits are given out at refugee camps or other similar locations. With your support we can ensure that needs that are necessary but often ignored are covered with your support. £50.00 will ensure females receive a months supply of the following products: menstrual pads, bath soap, detergent powder, sanitary napkins, a flashlight, toothpaste, a toothbrush, and a comb, all assembled inside a backpack or easy-to-carry bucket.

£35.00 - Food baskets- The food crisis is a symptom of a food system in crisis. Bad weather, high oil prices, agrofuels, and speculation are only the proximate causes of a deeper, systemic problem. The root cause of the crisis is a global food system that is highly vulnerable to economic and environmental shock. AFH ensures nutritious staple foods tailored for each specific region. £35.00 will ensure a family of 4 is provided with immediate lifesaving food kits in hard reached areas that will last for a month. with

£100.00 - WASH Fund - During times of crisis ie: damage to infrastructure due to disaster or conflict causes a massive shortage in terms of access to water facilities. AFH run a number of projects globally that repairs such damage to the infrastructure like fixing drains, gutters in camps to avoid flooding. water trucking, building water wells, installing tanks to ensure that we minimise the risk to health repercussions etc. For £50/ month we can ensure that the WASH fund has a continual income to allow us to keep working on all our life saving water projects.

£200.00 – Food and NFI’s £500 will provide a family with life saving food kit for a month and dignity kits as well as clean water (Items same as above)

£500.00 – Emergency Shelter. This will provide emergency shelter to displaced families’. E.g. A tent, blankets, sleeping mats, dry staple foods.

£1000 Provides Emergency shelters, Non Food Items such as cooking pots and utensils, a Latrine, beds, sleeping mats, clean water for drinking, dry, staple food as well as hot food for up to two months in villages surrounded by flood waters- which may take up to 6 months to completely recede.

When emergencies strike, we act and mobilise. We respond immediately to ensure the most vulnerable are protected, their basic needs are met, and lives are saved. Our work is driven by immediate response and effective delivery, but we stay long after a disaster to help restore lives. As an NGO we are guided by our drive to help others, not profit. When emergencies strike, we act to ensure to save lives and protect the vulnerable. When the emergency is over, we stay and help restore lives. We were founded in 2011 in the UK by a group of doctors whose sole focus was to provide assistance and aid to those devastated by conflict. For over a decade we have built an expertise in responding to humanitarian needs to benefit the most vulnerable people affected by conflict, disasters and extreme poverty.
