We raise vital funds to support the Children's Cancer Unit

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you who know our family, The Children's Cancer Unit is a place where we may visit on a regular occurrence, and be in touch with often.
For you that don't know, our son Zac was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on 28th September 2016 and that is our reason for visiting the unit.

Zac has been our superhero this past 3 years and on 14th of December 2019 will finish having treatments such as; chemo, steroids and lumbar.
He still will attend clinic for another two years, which is called side effects clinic, but thankfully the major treatments will soon be over!

Obviously with this diagnosis support from experts was paramount, for us being able to understand the treatment plans and having to stay in hospital at various times. First hand we saw the unit, the support they gave families, the specialised staff who helped and the realms of information that was provided on diagnosis, treatments etc.

This year we wanted to give a little back, to support new families in a similar situation and to support the work of The Children's Cancer Unit Charity as without their support, staff, research and treatments wouldn't be so accessible.

So, please donate this charity to help them continue in supporting other families like ours. Thank you
