PPE for Care Homes - Appeal
Please help us raise money to buy PPE equipment to protect the elderly in care homes – all donations will be matched!
We are raising money to help Jewish Care buy Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for their caring staff to protect the elderly residents and staff from COVID-19. Elderly people are in the highest risk category, but care homes have struggled to obtain equipment because of a national shortage. Although some PPE has been provided through the government supply chain, this is nowhere near enough, with most going to the NHS.
Luckily, we have been able to secure an order of 13,000 regulation face masks and 1,000 goggles from reputable manufacturers, which will be delivered to care homes within the next two weeks. All the PPE is compliant with standards set by Public Health England.
Private donors have agreed to match any amounts we raise. We are therefore asking for your kind donation to this cause.
Thank you so much for your support,
Adam, Ben, Charlotte, Ella, Emily, Jamie, Lucy and Sophie.
