Story
I completed my PhD and short role as a post-doc at the the Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre (POG-LRC) within the University of Glasgow in 2019. The POG team are raising vital funds to help make the lives of leukaemia patients better through the discovery of better treatments.
This event has been initiated in memory of Hugh Forgie. Hugh had leukaemia and he kept pushing on to raise funds for POG-LRC and even raised enough to support a PhD in the past! He had plans to cycle about 2000 miles to raise more funds this summer. Sadly, Hugh passed away with leukaemia before he could complete this challenge.
In his memory, the POG-LRC team and supporters have decided to do this on his behalf through various activities in July, and raise funds for leukaemia research. I have decided to run/walk/climb (crawl...) 100 miles by bagging Munros and the gorgeous parks in Glasgow in July for this.
Please help me and my former colleagues to help reach this target by supporting us in any way you can!
