Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A challenge was laid down by the Team leader of Woodhead MRT to all the other teams to celebrate the the 50th anniversary of the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation, It was decided to pay homage to the Tour De France which would pass through the area just one week later that a bike ride would be a good idea. The PDMRO Tour de Peak was born.

Starting at Oldham's base the ride would climb out of Greenfield through Holmefirth to Woodhead's base. It would then take on the Tour de France king of the mountain climb of Holme Moss before defending to Glossop base. The challenge would then link up throughout the Peak District to Kinder base, Buxton base, Edale base before finally ending the day at Derby MRT's checkpoint. 142km and a lot of climbing is going to make this a real challenge for members of every team will it be a race or will the PDMRO do what it does best and pull together to rise to the challenge ?
