I am reaching out to try and ask for help to save our
local animal charity from closing it’s door due to the lack of money raised
this year which has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Foal Farm animal rescue centre is a
registered charity based at Biggin Hill in Kent. Its aim is to take in as many
sick, distressed and unwanted animals as possible and restore them to health
and happiness. The animals are kept on a 26 acre farm where they are neutered,
microchipped, vaccinated and given any other medical assistance necessary.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals are then placed in
secure and loving vetted homes.
They have been running since
1962 and are a very important part of our local community. Sadly, due to
covid-19, it’s meant that Foal Farm have not been able to run their usual
yearly seasonal fundraising events and have lost out on opportunities to raise
the huge amounts of funds to keep up with the maintenance and vet bills for our
loving animals. This may mean that Foal Farm could be closing as soon as
Christmas and it’s heart-breaking to think that such a long standing,
hardworking charity will no longer be able to help those hundreds of animals in
need.
I am asking for any kind
donations to help prevent the closure of this amazing charity, and even if we
all gave £1 each, I know it would make a huge difference to keep them going!
