Story
Hello! My name is Ozzy and I have spent all year working on a fantastic award called the Duke of Westminster award. The award is for highly appreciated uniformed cadets across the whole country. I was nominated for my work with Mental Health First aid, others were nominated for raising money for charity or just simply going out of their way to go the extra mile.
After selection stages of the award, I am now in the final 15 with 14 other incredible people who I have had the opportunity to go down to Cornwall for an expedition. The expedition was 2 weeks long and it was full on! We we're out doing things every single day such as Snorkelling, Cliff jumping, Paddle boarding, Kayaking, Surfing and much much more. One of the things we did down in Cornwall was work for many charities that had been set up/worked down there - who knew there were so many in Cornwall!! We worked with charities such as The Eden Project, The Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Shelterbox and The Wave project. I loved all the activities we did with them and most importantly, talking volunteers/employees and hearing their stories as to why they are so passionate about what they do. The entire trip has really inspired me to work with such charities in the future!
Upon completing our expedition, all 15 of us are raising money for these charities! Our collective goal, on paper, is £2000 but we want to try and push it to £3000. All the money donated to this page with be sent directly to CVQO and then split and donated to the Charities we worked with while we were down in Cornwall.
If you know me, you know I just loooove thinking outside the box and doing something crazy for the things I'm passionate about. So... I'm going to be doing a Bungee jump!! This will be the first time I've ever done a bungee jump and I'm a little bit nervous. I will be filming it on a go pro then posting it on Facebook and Instagram so everyone who has donated can see it!
If you could donate even just £2 that would mean the whole world and more to me and to all of us at CVQO. Thank you so much and good luck to all the other fundraisers!!
