Story
My 5 year old son Oscar has a genetic condition which means that he has learning difficulties. Oscar has been receiving local support since the age of 2 and this year has started at Marjorie McClure school in Chislehurst which is a specialist school for disabled pupils. It is a fantastic school which has an underlying conviction that all pupils can succeed and fulfil their potential by encouraging them in a very positive self image and a belief that they have a promising future.
There is a directly associated charity for the school set up to raise funds which go towards purchasing specialist equipment for the use of the pupils along with funding trips and special events. Currently there is also a project to renovate the gardens & outside play area. This year myself and our close family friend Louise will be helping to raise funds for the charity to help Oscar and all his mates at the school by running the London marathon. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and help spur us on to finish the 26.2 miles which right now seems about 25.2 miles too far!!
