Story

I only knew Kristin for about two years but she was an amazing person. Even with the obstacles she faced she stayed courageous. Please give what you can every little bit helps. Below is her obituary.

Kristin Michelle Ormsbee, a very courageous young woman that fought through cancer to earn her bachelor's degree, died at the young age of 25 on August 11, 2019. Kristin, 25, of Bellevue was born June 20, 1994 in Battle Creek to James and Cassandra (Bramble) Ormsbee. Kristin's caring side showed from a very young age, with a love for all kinds of animals and a desire to bring all of them home with her. Being outdoors made her very happy, she loved nature, caring for her environment and utilizing natural resources, as well as being outdoors hunting and fishing. A very creative and talented artist, Kristin could draw anything she saw. She also enjoyed music, bike riding, and weight lifting.

Many people were touched by Kristin''s kindness, and she inspired many people with her courage. She was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome, an inherited predisposition for different types of cancer, and was diagnosed with brain cancer while she was a student at Olivet College. Two months prior to graduation in 2017 she underwent surgery for the cancer, and she then graduated with her Bachelor's Degree, one of the proudest moments of her life. In college, she was studying biology, with a thirst for knowledge about Lynch Syndrome in order to help herself and others reduce their risks of cancer. She had an interest in molecular medicine as a future career opportunity after school. During college, she worked at Bronson Hospital as a Communications Specialist.

Kristin is survived by her parents, James and Cassandra Ormsbee; grandparents, Laura Ormsbee and Charlene Bramble; aunts and uncles, Marc Ormsbee, Lisa (Conrad) Burton, Anthony (Linda Mann) Bramble, Angela (Samuel) Payne; cousins, Amber Smith, Aaron Burton, Jessica Bramble, Collin Payne, Connor Payne, Catelyn Payne; her closest friends, Victoria (Olson) Ackley, Katie (Baker) Bradfield, Samantha (Gay) Heuer, Emily Bradford, Cortni (Earegood) Abbott; and many extended family and friends.
