British 10K London Run 2009 · 12 July 2009 ·

Story

Finished in 39 minutes, 30 seconds.  Very pleased with that as aiming for sub-50 minutes!  Despite the forecast, the rain held off and it was a great event.

Thank you very much indeed to all who have donated so generously (far exceeding the original target of £2,000 and also the revised target of £3,000) and for all the support.

I will be running (limping?) the London 10k on 12 July 2009 for the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation.

This is a fantastic charity, in support of a very worthy cause. It's one that has particular significance for our family because Ros (my wife's) father died of prostate cancer in 2002 at only 62.

Please support me in raising money for the PCRF.  All donations will be very gratefully received.

About the charity

The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation has two aims, the first to promote independent worldwide research into all aspects of prostate cancer; and the second to spread the crucial knowledge gathered from that research as far afield as possible, via an internationally recognised forum, attended by the world’s top prostate cancer experts. The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation is also the home of the Bob Monkhouse ‘Give a few bob’ campaign www.giveafewbob.org.
