Story

Orchard of Remembrance

Help Kijana Kwanza plant our Orchard of Remembrance in honour of our loved ones.

We will plant 250 fruit trees over 5.5 acres in Moshi, Tanzania. The Orchard will become a vital part of the local environment and ecological landscape. The trees will create a vibrant green space to help nature thrive and provide fruit for orphans in our community for many years to come.

Trees breathe life into this world. We would like to plant the trees in memory of our loved ones, as an act of ongoing charity in their name. We want to contribute to their legacies so their presence continues to touch our world long after their souls have departed.

Each tree costs only £10, so support us today and we will issue you with a digital certificate which you can keep for yourself or share with your family and friends.

If you donate £50 or more to plant at least five trees, we will place a plaque on site in memory of your loved one.

Support us today and let’s journey together to honour our past and build our future.

Please donate below and send details for your certificate or plaque to orchard@kijana-kwanza.org

About Kijana Kwanza (Young People First)

Kijana Kwanza (Young People First)  is a UK registered charity (charity number 1183099) based on the ground in Moshi, Tanzania. Kijana is a child and youth development charity that seeks to empower a new generation of Tanzanians to become engaged, globally aware and economically independent citizens.

We achieve this by providing a safe environment for children and young people to grow, stay healthy and access formal learning, vocational training and life skills. We also support families to develop economically and provide for their own children.

Our goal is for children and young people to acquire the means and abilities to become leaders, activists and change-makers. Not only will they benefit themselves but also their immediate and extended families, their local villages and communities, and society at large.
