Tough Mudder Yorkshire 2016 · 6 August 2016 ·

We enable people with learning disabilities to challenge what they expect from life.

Story

At Optix Software twenty-one of us will be taking part in the grueling Tough Mudder Challenge - 10-12 miles of mud and horrendous obstacles - but we’re not doing this for fun! As an optical software business we’re hoping to raise a huge pot of money for a fantastic charity, SeeAbility, which supports people who have sight loss and multiple disabilities, to help them be able to achieve more and enjoy life.

The brave or crazy Optix staff and partners who are taking part in
the Tough Mudder at Broughton Hall in Skipton on 7 August 2016, are; Dave Nicholson, April Shaw, Damian Penny, Adam Eamonson, Matt Marshall, Chris Leech, Darren Arnott, Ben Hardy-Rollins, Kerry Burns, Ben Ryder, Sasha Taylor, Tom Chambers, Drew Goodfellow, Lee Atkinson, Amanda Rodgers, Sian Stacey, Terenia Taras, Paul Simpson, Leigh Coghill, Lauren Hunter, Jos Burns and Jessica Kelly.

Please help us to raise money for this very worthwhile cause.

About the charity

SeeAbility provides ambitious social care for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss. We encourage them to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society - and they in turn challenge us all to think about what’s possible, and to rethink disability.
