Story
When the coronavirus lockdown started in the UK I began to make short videos each day under the banner of #OneObjectADay. I simply showcased an object I owned and told a short story related to it. By the time I completed 22 films, engagement from friends and associates was growing and people were telling me how much they enjoyed the series.
This made me wonder whether I could turn the project into something that could do some good and help raise funds for a charity that is close to my heart. And maybe, we could actually make this a thing, so come and join me.
Just a Drop brings sustainable safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects to poor communities around the world. In these dreadful times of coronavirus the charity has also established an emergency response programme for COVID-19 in five countries which will impact more than 350,000 people.
To help one person costs just 70p ($1 or €1). How many people will you help today?

Safe water changes everything. It improves health, education, women’s rights, leads to secure food sources, economic growth and brighter futures. It completely transforms lives, especially those of women and children.
As the coronavirus sweeps across the world indiscriminately killing people irrespective of wealth, ethnicity, geography or religion, it is the poorer communities that will suffer most. In the UK we have clean water, and we have a brilliant National Health Service. People in many other countries are not so fortunate.
Central to slowing the spread of COVID-19 is hygiene and sanitation. If people do not have easy access to clean water they will also struggle to adopt best practice for hand washing and generally keeping things clean.
Let's work together to support this incredible project. Just 70p or $1 or €1 will help one person in the fight against coronavirus.
Of course, if you simply don't want any more of my daft videos, don't donate, and I will stop making them!
If anyone else would like to join this fund raising effort for Just a Drop, please let me know. Let's join up together as team on this page and start making silly videos and telling personal stories. It could be #OneObjectADay or if you don't have enough time, #MyObjectForToday.
The choice is yours. Remember every time someone donates 70p or $1 or €1 we are potentially helping save someone's life.
PLEASE DONATE AND GET INVOLVED TODAY
