Story
As some of you might know, I’ve been helping feed the homeless with Let’s Feed Brum for a few years now and towards the end of this year (2020) I decided my business, UK News Group, named the charity as our charity of the year for 2021. So I’m going to be doing different challenges each month to raise as much money as I can to help this amazing charity! I’m kicking it off in January by doing 5k each day of the month; I only started running in lockdown, when I started and completed to Couch to 5K, so this is a big challenge for me to run 5K every day for 31 days!
I will then be doing a push up challenge in February and walking 10,000 steps each day of March... with more challenges to come!
For those who don’t know, Let’s Feed Brum is a charity run by some amazing volunteers (including my fiancé, Tara, who is one of the founders). They go out every night and provide hot food, drinks and essential supplies to rough sleepers across Birmingham, as well as hosting weekly breakfasts at Birmingham Cathedral every Tuesday and Thursday morning. The LFB Family is amazing and I’m so proud to be part of it; we not only provide essentials, but get to know the guys and girls on the street, getting them the help that they need to move into accommodation, seek addiction support when needed, and even secure jobs. I’d love it if you could support me in my 12-month challenge! Every single penny donated to Let’s Feed Brum goes directly to helping people on the streets, so you know your money will have an impact.
