Story
It came as a huge shock when Patricia was diagnosed with bladder cancer in June 2019. But thankfully she reacted well to treatment and life returned to relative normality until late December 2020. Patricia passed away peacefully on 26th January 2021 surrounded by her 3 loving daughters.
Patricia was the wife of the late John O'Sullivan and a loving mother to Claire, Olivia and Julie. She was a devoted grandmother to Callum, Darragh, Niamh, Lottie, Annie and Flora. A caring mother in law to Neil, Murray and Neill.
Patricia had a strong, loving network of family and close friends who became her lifeline after becoming a widow in 2010. There was never a dull moment with her love of fun and laughter. Patricia was a true inspiration to her family and to all who knew her with her strength, bravery and zest for life. We count ourselves incredibly lucky to have had her in our lives.
We've chosen Fight Bladder Cancer as a charity we’d like to raise money for. They are a UK-based bladder cancer charity founded and run by bladder cancer survivors and their families. They help to raise awareness, support medical research and campaign to affect policy at the highest levels to bring about change in bladder cancer treatments. Their aim is to achieve better outcomes and quality of life for all those affected.
