We support families after a death on duty to help rebuild their shattered lives

Story

We are cycling as a part of the Sussex Police team within the UK Police Unity Tour. The Tour starts at the national police memorial in St James' Park, and we then the cycle the 160ish (!) miles to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, arriving in time to remember fallen colleagues at the annual memorial service for police officers killed on duty.

Care of Police Survivors (otherwise known as COPS) is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, rebuild their lives. It aims to ensure that survivors have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy, and that they remain part of the police family.
