We research early diagnosis and treatments to beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

Dear All

Having run marathons before (Louise - 3, Ollie - 1), we have decided to challenge ourselves to running two marathons in consecutive weekends, being Brighton Marathon on 15 April and London Marathon on 22 April 2012.

The challenge is in aid of raising money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, which suddenly took the life of Ollie's Dad less than 18 months ago just 10 weeks after first falling ill.

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all cancers – just 3% of those diagnosed survive for five years. It is also the only cancer that has seen no improvement in this figure over the last 40 years.

In 2007, Pancreatic Cancer attracted just 1.6% of all research funding.

We would like to support this charity to ensure that the much needed research continues into this field of the disease.

Any donations are warmly welcomed.

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.
