Story
Flo's Rescuer says:
Little Flo arrived on the British Embassy compound in the depths of winter 2017. She was totally feral, scared of her own shadow and very thin. But also very gorgeous!
People started leaving small bits of food for her and she slowly built up the confidence to get near enough to eat them. Knowing that food was available she kept coming back. Eventually she let one or two people stroke her head but she remained very skittish with most others.
One day, it looked like a few of the local tom cats wanted to befriend poor Flo (at the same time!), but luckily, and just in time, the humans scooped her up and sent her to Nowzad. She was inoculated, spayed and then sent back to the Embassy. She spent most of the winter sleeping in a bespoke cat house with cosy blankets and lots of food.
A few warmer months on and she is now much more settled and she has made a good friend with Bertie, a very docile, male ginger and white cat, here at the Embassy, and we are pleased that one of our former colleague’s Mum has offered a home to both Flo and Bertie. These two gorgeous ginger and white cats are going to love the English countryside but we need your help getting them there.

If, for whatever reason, the companion animal rescue is not successful (such as disease or injury) then at the discretion of Nowzad Dogs, the funds collected via this Youcaring page will be allocated to support the vital daily operational costs of the Nowzad Dogs small animal clinic and shelter in Kabul.
The total required for a companion animal to travel to the UK is on average £5000 for a dog and £3000 for a cat (we make no profit and everything is subject to currency valuations and fuel prices on the day). We are sadly unable to offer refunds on donations.
