Story
Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the livelihood of hundreds of thousands of our DFW neighbors. In the spirit of Ramadan, DFW Muslims feel obliged to take part in humanitarian efforts supporting our neighbors to overcome this tribulation.
This fund-raising campaign will provide food kits to the impacted members of the DFW community through North Texas Food Bank (ntfb.org). Our goal is to distribute half a million meals to feed 24,000 families through NTFB at a cost of approx. 33cents a meal, Insha Allah.
NTFB’s mission is to fight against hunger in North Texas by sourcing food at mass scale and distributing it to the community through food banks.
Muhammad, the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) said: “A believer is not one who eats his fill while his next door neighbor goes hungry”. Al-Bukhari
Let our neighbors facing hunger know that the DFW muslim community stand with them through these uncertain times.
We urge you to donate to this noble cause and reap the blessings during this holy month of Ramadan.
