We Provide a medical centre for children to improve their lives and wellbeing

Story

Medcare is raising money to assist the Wellspring Children’s Medical Centre in saving the lives of starving children in Uganda.

Children such as baby John.

John is 9 months old. Before he was born his father died from AIDS. 2 weeks after his birth his mother also died, leaving baby John in the care of his 15 year old twin sisters. These 2 girls have been the sole carers of their 5 siblings since the death of their mother. Their siblings are 3 sisters, aged 3, 9 and 7 years, and  2 brothers, aged 5years and baby John, 9 months.
They rely on help from neighbours to add to the little food they can grow. As a result baby John became severely malnourished. The family had no  money to pay for hospital bills and they watched helplessly as he became increasingly seriously ill.  Eventually, the girls were advised to take the baby to the Wellspring Children’s Medical Centre, who funded his admission to a local malnutrition unit. This provision has saved baby John’s life.

There are many more families, such as baby John’s, who are  cared for by Wellspring. Medcare is asking for assistance, particularly during the coronavirus pandemic, to raise funds to enable the Wellspring Medical Centre to save more young lives. We believe that no price is too high to save the life of a child. Every penny raised will be sent directly to Uganda for the care of the children. Thank you for caring.
