If you're reading this then you probably knew Nigel. If you knew Nigel, you'll also know how fond he was of animals. For years he fed the feral cats who lived behind his bungalow. He emailed our family pets quite regularly, and if he'd had his way, they would have had a seat at the Christmas dinner table.

Nigel's close friends and family thought it would be a fitting way to honour his memory and repay (in some small way) his kindness and generosity to us all over the years, by raising some money for those animals who weren't lucky enough to be the recipient of his cards, emails, gifts and solicitous enquiries. The Society for Abandoned Animals in Manchester takes in unwanted and unlucky animals and cares for them until they find a loving home. Whilst Nigel didn't want any fuss made of his passing, I think he would approve of this small gesture. Any contributions are very gratefully received.
