I am running this and two 10k events in memory of my mother who was nursed and supported by MacMillan in the later stages of terminal cancer.  

Sadly many of us are likely to have an encounter with a variety of this nasty and scary condition at some stage in our lives.  Treatment and survival rates are improving but the need for the services of MacMillan continues to be high and they provide fantastic support, especially for people that are beyond clinical help.
