Story
This Sunday I'm taking part in the Blenheim Triathlon while my wife, Chantal, cycles from London to Blenheim with a large contingent of school parents and teachers to raise money to fund a research project in a new type of Blood cancer treatment called Car-T cell therapy run by Dr Sara Ghorasian at Great Ormond Street hospital.
A friend of Conrad's at school, a 6 year old boy, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He immediately started intensive chemotherapy and thankfully is doing very well. Sadly, another boy in the school was recently dignosed.
It is in honour of these two brave boys and their courageous families that we are raising money in the hope that this treatment will become more widely available, particularly for patients that relapse. Blood cancers account for 75% of all childhood cancers.
Every donation helps us get closer to our target and is hugely appreciated.
Thanks for your support.
