Story
Some years ago coming back from a night in London I saw a lady my age, she was dressed well with stout walking boots, exchanging a laugh with some one. She looked like me although she was much slimmer. But there was another difference. Whilst I was travelling home to a house with a warm bed, she was arranging cardboard to shield her from the cold wind, settling down in a sleeping bag for a night on the street.
They say we are all only two wage packets from being homeless. It really can happen to anyone. Whilst we continue to fight the causes of homelessness we must also support charities like WSUP that offer respite from a life on the streets and perhaps most importantly a kind word that shows some one cares.
I can't run marathons, and I don't fancy being bald but I'm good at sleeping so I am joining WSUP's annual sleepout. Please give what you can.
