The charity sets up annual events for these people so they can meet up together as a group and feel accepted rather than judged. Especially for the children, it makes them feel like they have a purpose and not feel alone as it’s a period of time where they are not on their own and can have that physical interaction with other children and make them realise that they aren’t on their own. Without sufficient funding, these events can’t take place.
