Story

Last year we were all ready and then Hurricane Bertha blew in and ruined the day for everyone - it was miserable - very high winds and torrential rain - Exactly what you dont want when trying to pedal 100 miles through London and Surrey.  Leith Hill and Box Hill were cut from the route due to the dangerous conditions - a wise decision.

So this year we try again, thanks to the insistance of my good friend (?) and colleague Jon Last!  Things were building up nicely until 22 May when, for reasons best known to my subconcious, I decided to step off the stairs a step or two early and bust my right knee up good and proper.  Four weeks off the bike and a slow progression since then - still far from right, but at least getting up to distance.

So it will be touch and go on the day, but here's hoping that everything holds up???

As for Shooting Star - You know the deal - JUST GIVE IT!!
