Cancer seems to touch every family and the Wolverstone Wing at Ipswich Hopital needs £800,000 to refurbish the chemotherapy outpatient clinic and day-unit. They've already raised a lot but need more.

My friends Victoria Sharp of CerTax Accounting and Iain Thom of Kerseys Solicitors and I have run, swim and cycled in the Virgin London Triathlon at the Royal Victoria Docks, London on the 22nd September. We each did one leg - I'm the cyclist.

It was a brilliant experience - highly recommended. A sporting event accessible to most reasonably fit people with a little preparation and I'll definately be doing it again. Also great for celeb spotting!
