What I did

In the summer of 2011 I completed a six day solo walk of the Cleveland Way in aid of UNICEF UK.

This 110-mile long distance trail follows a signed route between Helmsley & Filey, North Yorkshire and is divided into two distinct Inland and Coastal sections.

The Inland trail follows the upper edge of the North York Moors National Park, running along the Cleveland Hills to Guisborough. The Coastal section leaves the Moors and heads to Saltburn-by-the-Sea.  From here it follows the shoreline to Whitby,  then carries along the cliff tops to Scarborough and ending at Filey.
