(<----- NEW VIDEO NOVEMBER 30TH!!!) My Story...

Meet my cousin Wes (see photo), he was Dux of his final year high school class, obtained a 1st Class Honours Degree at University, a keen traveller & a young man with the world at his feet. Wes lived and enjoyed life to the full until Melanoma took it away from him in March 2010 aged just 26. He is the current face of the Cancer Council of NSW 2011/12 Campaign. Click the link to see the Wes Bonny Testimonial video. (after looking at all links click the 'back button' to come back to this page!!)

Now meet Duncan (see photo & video...any reference to Australia/ns is in jest people!!). He has been my neighbour & good friend since 2005. Ok, he may not be as young as Wes but the similiarites are otherwise present, an academic record at school good enough to see him into Oxford University, experiences of travelling & working abroad with a loving wife & 3 beautiful children. Duncan was diagnosed with Lymphoma in August 2011 & is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment at University College Hospital here in London. This will continue until early in the new year and he will know if his treatment has been successful in the weeks/months after this. To know that your chances of survival are measured in weeks & months must be very stressful, one that I know & understand. However, It was getting the phone call from Duncan telling me about his illness when I had got back from my recent holiday in Australia that really spurred me to action. I wanted to do something to help combat these terrible illnesses both for Duncan who still has hope and a good chance and for all the others suffering with blood & skin cancers.

Did you know that every 20 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer? These cancers are the most common cause of cancer death in the under 35's, but can effect anyone at any age.

Therefore I have decided to dedicate this November to Movember by growing a moustache to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research for the entire month of November.

Please help people like Wes & Duncan as well as 17,000 other people diagnosed with Lymphoma in the UK every year. They deserve a future just like you & I are currently enjoying today! No donation is either to big or to small, so please dig deep and click the 'donate now' button and support Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

Please note if you're making a donation & from outside the UK the donation has to be made as UK Sterling so please be aware of this e.g. as of Nov 1st 2011 £1 = AUD$1.54, £1 = EUR€1.16, £1 = USD$1.59 so a £5 donation is AUD$7.70, EUR€5.80, USD$7.95 but use this only as a guide!!

Thank you

P.S I will update the page regularly & include photos of my developing 'tache'!!
