Story
We are climbing snowdon 22/07/2023 in memory of Joanne Barker our Loving Mum.
Unfortunately the night 28/07/2022 of our Mums 53rd birthday she took ill and became unresponsive, we had so many questions as she wasn’t unwell at all! After arriving at hospital and our Mum undergoing many scans - we were given the heartbreaking news that she had suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage and the likelihood of survival was very slim.
Unfortunately the following evening 29/07/2022 our lovely mum passed away.
We as a family, want to raise awareness of brain aneurysms, many aneurysms are rare, but combined, they affect 1 in 6 people. We are hoping to raise awareness in hope that it might save at least one person's life that if they have any early warning signs they can go to the doctors and get a brain scan that could hopefully lead to saving their life. Early warning signs can be found online on the NHS website.
All donations will go to The Brain Charity who support people with brain injuries and all types of neurological conditions to live healthier and happier lives.
