Story

Thank you for taking time to visit Nelson and Colne College's JustGiving page.

The following members of staff are taking part in the Great Manchester Run on the 22nd May 2016 and have chosen to run for SANDS - Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity.

One of the team members suffered a loss when their son was stillborn 5 years ago.  The UK has relatively high stillbirth rates in comparison to other high income nations.  Although it has started to drop in recent years, in 2013, 1 in every 216 births was a stillbirth.  Money raised through your sponsorship will help to fund research which should contribute to reducing these rates.
