Story

My daughter Kiahna is 6 years old, and since birth she has spent a lot of time in Birmingham Children's Hospital. During this time, Kiahna has undergone corrective heart surgery five times, the first three of which were when she was only six months old. Kiahna had her fifth and hopefully final operation in August 2011. Thanks to the fantastic team at BCH she is now able to live a normal healthy life.

I am running the London Marathon in April 2013 and hoping to raise more money for the Hospital to help other poorly children. So far we have raised over £20,000 and will always do whatever we can to raise even more.

Children with poorly hearts need people with generous hearts.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
