Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi there, I am raising funds for the Child Growth Foundation, a wonderful charity that supports children, adults and family affected by rare growth conditions. They provide information, run virtual support groups, hold a wonderful convention each year and fund research.

The CGF is a small charity, and like many small charities at the moment  really needs your support. The NHS are doing a wonderful job of keeping us safe but all the fundraising at the moment seems to be going there and that is leaving small charities struggling. I know we have all dug deep into our pockets lately but it is time to dig deeper still. There are many charities in the UK connected to health, and all these charities take a considerable burden away from the NHS. There is little support for them but they play such a vital role in society.

So please, check down the back of the sofa, use that commute money you have all been saving lately and donate to a wonderful cause. Thank you.

What am I doing?

I am rowing - well on a  rowing machine - to St Helier. I was born there and thought why not. Then I looked at how far it was from Lincoln!

462kms

Ouch!

I am planning on 'arriving' on July 16th, St Helier day. Which means I need to 'row' about 6.7 km per day from May 8th.

That is so, so far. It really is a whopper of a challenge. So please give generously, thank you.
