Story

As-Salamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu (peace be upon you).

It is with a very heavy heart we announced the passing of our beloved father; Mohammed Supi Meah, Inna lillah wa inna ilayhi rajioon - Verily to Allah (God) we belong and to him we shall return.

Our father was loved by many and we have been overwhelmed by the love and support shown over the past 8 weeks. He was not only a husband, father and grandfather but a close friend to many. He was our hero and inspiration and the one person we and others would look to for advice. We will deeply miss his warmth, his cheeky smile, his banter but know he is now in peace with the Most Merciful, our Rab (Lord).

Staying true to our father’s dedication to help and support communities around the world, we as a family have decided to build a school. In Islam, charity does not diminish one’s wealth, but an opportunity to come closer to God. Therefore, as a family we would like to give our friends and family the opportunity to take part in this sadaqah jariyah (charity) initiative.

We ask for everyone to make dua for him. May Allah Jallah Jaluluhu (may His glory be glorified) forgive him, have mercy on him, shower him with the blessings, enter him into paradise, elevate his status and bless him with the companionship of the green birds of Jannah (Paradise). Ameen Ya Rabbal Alamin
