Story

Hello, and thanks for coming to have a look at my page.

Most of you who know me know that I've never been what you call 'sporty'. At school I was pretty determined to miss as much sport practice as possible, and my time at university was an all too easy opportunity to indulge in my lethargy. It would therefore come as a surprise (although not anymore, since you're already on this page) that I've decided to run the Brighton marathon this year.

What's far more important, and interesting for that matter, is that I'm fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. Most of you will not know that I was born nearly blind and spent the first 3 months of my life like that. The Ophthalmology department at Great Ormond Street Hospital cured me by removing cataracts from both my eyes, and continued to provide excellent post-operative care until I was around 11 or 12. I have therefore seen first hand the great work that this hospital does for many children from all around the UK - they truly are the best at what they do. I really couldn't think of any better cause to give money to, and I'd be hugely grateful for any donation, large or small, that you may be able to summon up from the depths of your pockets.

Thanks again!
