Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you will know, sadly my mum passed away in 1991 when my sister & I was aged 5 & 7.
I have decided to mark 30 years of her memory to raise money for a child bereavement charity Simon says who work to support bereaved children in Hampshire.
I wanted to mark this year in the only way that I can, to support children who like us, found themselves in one of the worse suitations possible.
I truly believe it’s so important to support these children early to get the guidance, therapy, safe suitations to express their feelings, that they need and I wished I had at a young age.
Being so young when she died and unfortunately no real memories of her, even 30 years on its hard to deal with but I continue to be positive, life is far to short not too, I feel her with me and think of her daily.
That’s why throughout 4 weeks leading up to 30 years I want to raise money for this charity so they can continue the work they do to support children.
From Monday 12th April I am going to walk / jog 30k a week for 4 weeks finishing on Monday 10th May laying flowers for my mum.
I will document the kilometres that I have walked. It works out 75miles in a month which is quite a challenge for me and to fit in but I wanted to push myself.
Thank you in advance for anyone that has raised awareness of this charity or donated, if you can.
Lots of Love, Tasha xx
