Story
Hi all, I’m Natasha ( Sumit’s sister) . Sumit and Manisha have shown their kindness and generosity once again and have asked for any gifts to be given in the form of a donation to Families of Ocean Ward. Our daughter, Alana, was born with a significant heart condition known as Pulmonary Atresia. She was born at Southampton hospital and transferred to the Ocean ward to be with her heart baby friends. She received life saving treatment and to date has had two catheter procedures and open heart surgery. Whilst Alana is thriving, she will be under Cardiac care for the rest of her life and will need another open heart surgery at the age of 5/6 and eventually a heart transplant. The staff on Ocean ward have not only cared for Alana, but have been our strength and support during the most difficult time of our lives. We were fortunate enough to be allowed to stay by Alana’s side on Ocean ward and saw first hand how donations are used on the ward- toys and presents for the children and Netflix for the adults amongst other comforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We thank you in advance for any contributions that you make. Please may we ask that you take a moment to appreciate our NHS- it is a truly amazing service and has saved our baby girl.
