A little short notice I know...but I have been offered the once in a lifetime opportunity to run the London Marathon in the Olympic year...Wow! 

I am running to support 'Team Bertie' raising funds for Leukaemia Care - a charity supporting patients and families living with Leukeamia, blood or Lymphatic cancers.

During my teaching career I have worked with families facing the challenge of dealing with a traumatic illness and their courage and strength has inspired me!  It is amazing how brave people can be!

As most of you know, 4 years ago I couldn't run for the bus, let alone a marathon. Since then I have run the Jersey Marathon 3 years running and have now decided it is time to use my training to make a real difference - where it counts.  We can never take our health for granted as we never know what's around the next bend!
