Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am completing this challenge for my 8 year old nephew Ethan. Ethan was diagnosed with a grade 4 (most aggresive) brain tumour in September 2012. He was rushed to Addenbrookes hospital to undergo complex and lifesaving surgery.  Ethan has since completed an intensive course of radiotherapy and is on a 42 week course of chemotherapy.

Unfortunately due to the invasive nature of the surgery, Ethan will now require extensive physiotherapy, speech therapy and one to one support. This should help him to regain the major physical faculties (walking, talking, co-ordination etc.) we all take for granted in life.  All of these challenges require a massive amount of spirit, courage and bravery and what makes Ethan's fight particularly special. The strength he continues to show from day to day is incredible and although communication is difficult, his cheeky, bright and sensitive nature is still as prominent as ever!

In light of Ethan's battle a challenge has been arranged for me and a team of 9 others to scale the 3 largest peaks in Great Britain - Snowdonia, Scafel Pike and Ben Nevis all within 24 hours...including travelling time!!

Ethan requires constant care beyond what the nursing staff could give and with Ethan's family over an hour away from the hospital The Children’s Trust stepped in to provide Ethan's family with accommodation on the hospital complex free of charge for as long as they needed it.
