Story
In October 2 years ago, my eldest son Austin who was 9 at the time, had to stop attending school due to anxiety relating to his autism. He subsequently went to a specialist setting, spent 6 months in hospital and now attends another special school where he is settled and doing well. During this two year period, two of our other children have also been diagnosed with autism and our 7 year old daughter has now been out of school for almost 6 months. Throughout these struggles we have received support from the wonderful charity resources for autism. We have had one to one workers, Saturday and holiday play schemes and befrienders. Today we received good news about Betty's school place and as it coincides with sober October, I've decided to take the opportunity to give something back to this amazing charity. If you know me, you'll know that 31 days is a long time!
